About BRM Central School

BRM Central School is a Senior Secondary School affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE], New Delhi. It was established in the year 1994 and is located in Chengamanadu, in Melila Panchayath, Kottarakkara Municipality. It was founded by Shri. Raghavan Pillai and his wife Smt. Bhavani Raghavan Pillai, and inaugurated as “Udayagiri English Medium School”.

After the death of the founders, the school was renamed by the then Chairman, the eldest son Shri. R. Asokan as “Bhavani Raghavan Memorial Central School” popularly called “BRM Central School” or simply, BRM. It got CBSE affiliation in the year 2007 for Class VIII, 2009 for Class X and in 2012 for Class XII. The school is managed by the Asoka Educational and Charitable Trust. After the sad demise of our Chairman Mr. R Asokan in 2013, his wife Mrs. Sudha Asokan has taken over as Chairperson. Every year we have more than a 100 students that appear for both AISSCE and AISSE. BRM has produced 100% pass rate all these years making it one of the best performing schools in CBSE Trivandrum Zone. Students of BRM have been noted for their exceptional achievement in the fields of Arts and Sports. BRM is a permanent Resource and Training Centre. It functions under Ananthapuri Sahodaya Complex, a cluster of 40+ schools from Kollam and Trivandrum districts. Today we educate around 2000 students from Play class to Class 12.
